- Maintaining relationships and liaising with industry, advertising, and PR contacts – you will know who to turn to for quotes or insight
- Collaborating with colleagues in design and digital to produce and present content for print and online platforms effectively and efficiently
- Attending wedding events and deputising for the editor when needed
What we are looking for from you:
- Experience working as a journalist or features writer for a newspaper, magazine or website with the ability to deliver sparkling and engaging copy quickly
- Excellent organisation and admin skills, and be able to juggle multiple projects/features at a time
- An ability to work accurately under pressure, to strict deadlines, with attention to detail and a proactive ‘all-hands-on-deck’ approach
- Solid interviewing and interpersonal skills to help develop relationships with industry contacts and work collaboratively with colleagues
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud apps, particularly InDesign and Photoshop, and short-form video editing apps
- Competence in using a content management system (ideally Umbraco) and social media scheduling tools
- Knowledge of the technical requirements for print and SEO-optimised online content delivery
- An aptitude for using social media to engage current followers and build new audiences for the title
- Enthusiasm and initiative in spades and, ideally, a passion for/interest in weddings
